(It’s taken so long to source & firm this up that I’m amazed it’s not already leaking)

Last Wednesday I was in London on a ‘hush hush’ mission to glean information on Companies that I’m interested in. Doesn’t matter if it’s negative or positive, occasionally the ones you think are negative can turn positive and vice versa. For me it’s all about beating the corrupt corporates and telling it as it is. Good or bad….

Most of the meetings I attend are pre-arranged, some times, like the NUOG lunch, crossed wires conspire and the meeting/s get missed. It’s no ones fault, that’s just the way it goes. But that missed opportunity was filled by two hastily arranged ‘coffees’. One with the current FCA registered SER Director (Mike) and the other with an official (Nomad) whose company represents one of the two London listed oil company’s with an interest in West Newton.

Being a ‘cautious’ type I chose not to immediately write up my West Newton scoop from the second of those two unconnected ‘tete a tetes’ until I could make enquiries with different sources to ‘cross reference’ and firm up what I was being made aware of. Kind of test the water etc. That’s now been done. Several unconnected sources from London and Canada all confirm.

Once again ‘yours truly‘ delivers to you a massive exclusive on Rathlin’s West Newton drill. The drill that has already been declared by the partners as a ‘Major Onshore Hydrocarbon Discovery’.

News leaking on the West Newton Discovery indicates that all partners are ‘cock ‘o’ hoop’ on the data sets and core analysis from the operator Rathlin. There’s been an enforced blackout and much debate within the group/partners on keeping the numbers unannounced until all the core analysis has been completed. This could be because there are persistent whispers of at least two majors sniffing about.

The scores on the ‘Oil No’ Doors’ are way above expectations. That news is now in and should be released immediately by the partners, especially as it’s now in the public domain, post the publication of this article.

So you can take it from me that news is on the way from the Rathlin, West Newton drill, that could result in a huge, and I mean huge, increase in the share-prices of both listed companies who have a stake in West Newton. (0.92p) Reabold Resources (LSE: RBD) who now own 59% of Rathlin which equates to a 39% interest in West Newton and (0.22p) Union Jack Oil (LSE: UJO) who have a direct 16.6%.

The ‘Oil in Place’ numbers from the analysis of the core samples has rocketed upwards and will indicate a minimum of over 140,000,0000 boe (barrels of oil equivalent). The high case is thought to be close too, if not over, 200,000,000 boe. Both Nomads have been briefed as have the O&G Authority.

If those numbers are confirmed and I’m 99% certain they will, then the SP of both companies should rise significantly, regardless of talks that may or may not be happening. I’d expect on these figures, coupled with a successful Extended Well Test (EWT)  share-prices of multiplies on both London listed company’s. These numbers indicate one of the biggest onshore hydrocarbon discoveries in the UK.

Knowing Nomads as I do, from my short tenure at Sefton, you can bet your last shekel that emails will be flying back and forth on publication of this article.

Which means that an announcement is imminent.

    Good Luck

  • Saffron Energy. There’s more to come… Gas that is!

Saffron Energy. There’s more to come… Gas that is!

Today Saffron Energy (LON: SRON) finally announced what was already basically known by those who follow and read www.guerillainvesting.co.uk  That is that Bezzecca gas production has now come on stream at 30,000-40,000 scm per day. This when added to 10,000scm currently being produced from their Silaro field gives them production of 40,000-50,000 scm per day. Financially this is over three hundred thousand euros per month. Circa £250,000 per month times this by twelve and we get £3,000,000 per annum in revenue. That is a phenomenal success story in the world of micro-cap oil and gas.

    SHAREPRICE

Shiny ‘Mac Shine’. Brand new kit now producing…

The SP has spluttered on very good news! When in actual fact it should be heading towards 10/11p etc. One of the quirks of the AIM is that impending good news is usually forward sold into by the brokers and the ‘canny’ high net worth’s. You can see it in the late trades that were being announced over the last two weeks. Profit taking. Every one is entitled to take it. So when you’re looking at Saffron or any other Company remember think ahead and don’t be discouraged by a rise that spluttered on good news. There’s always a reason for it. Normal service will be resumed once the SP settles down.

    WHISPERS

Sources here are indicating that gas production from Bezzecca could easily surpass 50,000 scm per day as the Company work out their best flow rates over the coming weeks. Again any increase in production will significantly add to their revenue. These are a bargain at todays SP. I did hear that their CEO (Masterman) was in the UK and will be having a tete a tete with investors this week. A question I would ask if I was their would be this; “Bearing in mind what was being discussed on the recent site visit, will the 100,000scm per day be reached this year?”

Great little producer this. Could be 12p-15p by the end of this year….

  • Sound Oil Tight Lipped & Nervous on Nervesa.

More gas on the way. More cash on the way!
More gas on the way. More cash on the way!

Sound Oil (LON: SOU) have been quietly going about doing the business in Italy.  The share price hasn’t really done any thing other than mainly stay static. 10.5/11p. It’s actually maintained a stable holding pattern considering the oil price has plummeted, while news has been sparse. The strength of the Company fundamentally and asset wise is reflected by the stability in the share-price. Every thing is now lined up. Cornerstone investor, two producing assets, cash revenue coming in, Italians (ex-ENI) all in place on the Board, Italian bureaucracy, streamlined, High net worth’s involved, Nervesa about to be drilled, Cash in the bank, basically debt free. Lot of maneuvering  has gone on to get Sound oil to this place in time. Lift off is here.

When I say ‘sparse’ I mean the Company are deliberately tight lipped. Always a sign that they’re sat on price sensitive news and don’t want a leak to ‘outside of the tenters’ such as yours truly.  A communications lock down means they’re ‘nervous on Nervesa.’

    Albert & Sound
    About to go ballistic

There’s a lot of news about to come through as they gear up for what the Company describe as  ‘an exciting period of back-to-back drilling’, which commences with site operations at Nervesa in a matter of  a few weeks or two. News has reached the blog that all is on track for a major  announcement over the coming week/s. Just what that is, isn’t known. But it’s almost certainly good news, bearing in mind that the flagship asset, Nervesa  is about to go ‘operational’. Once this is announced then it’s game on for the sp. It will begin to climb. I expect the sp to double in value from where it currently stands. Then we have news on the exploration play that is Badile. A massive gas play that would catapult Sound oil into the arms of a major international oil company, never to be seen again. Gone, taken over for the good of Italy.

I’ve been trying to get an interview with the boy Parsons (CEO), the man’s a difficult fish to land. Particularly as he’s a frequent flyer, flying back and forth across Europe. Last spotted having a cappuccino with an Italian energy minister.  We’re not supposed to know that! It’s no wonder that Continental Investment partners (Sounds’ ‘cornerstone Investor’) have agreed to throw more cash into the hat via one of their affiliated partners Greenberry S.A. It’s money for jam for them. They know (Unlike most) that they’re going to get a hefty return on the investment. Nervesa remains a Major project for Sound Oil with an estimated NPV10 of circa US$66,000,000 million (100%). Which will probably rise.

    Tight lipped.

I’ve been keeping my eye on Italy news wise. The Italian oil and gas permitting process has now been cleaned up making life a lot easier re’ the permitting process. This was announced back in late August of this year by their Prime Minister.

Remember Nervesa is a huge gas discovery, once it comes on stream the sp should be transformed. It can only go one way. UP↑. Even as the oil price struggles Sound will reap huge benefits from Nervesa which is as those in the know know, gas, which is as those in the know know, highly sought after in Italy. Premium prices being paid.

    Not so ‘tight lipped’

According to one recent article “Italy is the new Texas.” With over 40 small to middle oil companies on the verge of unlocking proven oil/gas resources. Sound Oil being one of them mentioned in the same article as? ENI!

    Happy Days

  • Sound Oil The Swiss are coming!

More gas on the way. More cash on the way!
More gas on the way. More cash on the way!

For all those familiar with the Sound Oil story here’s a quick update.

There’s a Swiss clock ticking over at Sound Oil (LON: SOU) Hot off the press and following on from the James Parsons & Director Luca Madeddu UK private investor share-holder get together, after their successful presentation at the 67th Oil Barrel, news is coming through on BMD’s black telephone that there’s a secret, yes secret, private international investor presentation in the pipeline (at the request of an Institution) to be held some where in Europe. It’s all very ‘hush, hush’. So keep it quiet. We don’t want questions raised such as? ‘Why are international investors desperate to get there Swiss franc into Sound Oil just before a potential official farm-in RNS? Do we?

These are not UK investors these are Swiss by birth. Are they private Bankers, Chocolatiers’ or makers of Swiss army knives? We don’t know, but what we do know is that It would seem this could be tied to an impending big news release on a potential International Oil Company farming-in to the huge exploration play that is Badile. This farm-in could be a Company Maker and when announced will push Sound oil stock like a juggernaut

The early bird catches a Swiss Roll….
